Perhaps you are quite surprised that a 30 year old would need multiple root canals, extractions, gum treatment, fillings and a full mouth of crowns and bridges but it is quite common. Factors that contribute to this include poor diet, lack of care, poor homecare and god given soft teeth. These people are embarassed and ashamed.
Typically, they call and ask for implants figuring that all is hopeless. Almost always they have a worse perception of their condition than what is real. WHen they learn that they can get their teeth back in 6 weeks, and 5 or 6 appointments they can not wait to begin. Often, they have gotten other opinions and heard one year, three different specialty practices etc. We try to give them a solution that makes sense allowing them to go forward.
At each of the 5 to 6 appointments they see real improvement. Their confidence increases at every visit which my staff and I are proud of. THe ultimate compliment comes after one year when they often bring us gifts. For me, this means we did our job.
The photos at the top of this blog show what we did for this patient. Please try to understand how much this would mean to someone that needs it. We believe that we are blessed to be able to do this for people.

I recently completed 6 porcelain veneers for a patient in one day. This executive, like many other executives, have very little time and hence need their work done quickly. With our onsite lab, http://www.Newenglandcreativedentalarts.com, we are able to complete work quickly. This patient had no pain, no problems with the temps and could not be happier with the service he received.
Patients seeking porcelain veneers are happiest when they are only in temps for a very short time. Porcelain veneer temps can be a hassle because they often fall off and create and embarassing situation. Our approach eliminates this problem.

Imagine not going to the dentist for over 20 years and the problems that might arise. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people like this. These people had bad experiences with the dentist as a child or young adult and simply refused to go. After enough time, in most cases over 10 years, they can not take it anymore and start looking for a dentist and often find us.
We treat at least 20 people like this every year. These patients are scared and instead of calling often fill out a contact form. In turn, we contact them and they speak directly to me so that I can offer them hope and encourage them to come in for a free consult.
At their first appointment, it is rare that I do anything more than look in their mouths. From my experience, I can tell them roughly what needs to be done and how long it will take. Most can not believe how fast it can be done and how few appointments it will take. They also can not believe that everything is done at this office by me.
We saw a patient like this yesterday. We had completed in one visit , her periodontal work, extractions, four root canals and thirteen fillings. Yesterday, three weeks had passed and she can not wait to get her 22 crowns made which will take two weeks because of our onsite lab. Our onsite lab, New England Creative Dental Arts, http://www.newenglandcreativedentalarts.com/, provides us with the highest quality restorations in the least amount of time.
