Frequently Asked Questions About Our Practice

How can you do so much work in such a short period of time?

We have three big advantages:

  1. You are the only person scheduled during your appointment time. Our focus is completely on you.
  2. You do not need to see other specialists. We often provide gum work, root canals, filling, and extractions all in one visit.
  3. We have an on-site lab which allows us to fabricate many teeth in a short period of time.

What happens on my first visit to your office?

We have a conversation about what you would like to do and how we can do that for you. I will examine your mouth, but I won't use dental instruments so there is nothing to fear. You will leave with a treatment plan and a summary of the expected time and costs that will be involved. All of this is provided at no charge.

Why is the first appointment free?

We believe that there should be no charge for you to get the information you need. We are happy to give you our time to let you know what is possible for you. We do this work all the time, so it is not difficult for us to assess your needs.

How long does the first consultation take?

Our first meeting typically lasts about 40 minutes, but we are happy to take more time if you need it. We never schedule consultations at the same time that we are performing advanced dental care, so we can focus entirely on you. Dr. Cummings always sees only one patient at a time.

Will I be sedated? Do you use anesthesia?

You will not "go under." We use Valium - a perfectly safe drug - to help patients relax and also provide iPods with noise-cancelling headphones. We find that patients are very happy with these methods, including patients who are otherwise very anxious about seeing a dentist.

Do you provide a warranty?

Our work is guaranteed for one year. That includes all x-rays and cleanings as well as any necessary repairs.

I see that you have an on-site lab. Why is that important?

Having an on-site lab allows us to save you time and money. We don't have to worry about anyone else's scheduling or price changes.

How long will my case take to complete?

It depends on the type of procedure. Each case is a little different, but roughly speaking you can expect the following turnaround times:

  • Veneers: One week
  • Bridges: Three days
  • Crowns: Two days
  • Implants: Six weeks
  • Mini-Implants: One visit (up to six months)
  • Dentures: Twelve days
  • Full Mouth Reconstruction: One month

Are your services expensive?

We believe we provide the best value in the marketplace today. Our prices are similar to or less than other cosmetic dentists, but we provide exceptionally high quality and a very speedy turnaround.

Do you accept dental insurance?

We do not take dental insurance directly, but we will gladly submit a claim to your insurance company to help you get any reimbursement that you are entitled to.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Please visit www.springstoneplan.com for more details.
